Missionary Grace in East Pokot

ree

Since she graduated from Harbingers Bible and Missionary Training Institute last year, Missionary Grace has been serving the Lord in East Pokot, Kenya.  At first she planted a church deep in the bush of East Pokot.  She was effective in her ministry.  While she was there, a group of men came planning to attack and rape her.  By the grace of God, Missionary Enock (the former cattle rustler who is now a Harbinger’s missionary) happened to be there at the time.  He was able to persuade the men to leave without harming either one of them.  The area chief suggested that Missionary Grace should move to a different region of East Pokot for her safety.  Harbingers was able to have Missionary Kakori and Missionary Grace swap mission locations within East Pokot.  We praise the lord for his protection and provision of our missionaries.

Here is a report from Missionary Grace in her own words since moving to her new mission area earlier this summer: “I thank God for His mercy endures forever.  I am ministering in Harbingers Aremitt church where the Lord has directed me to serve.  The church is still growing.  We thank God for that.  I have recently introduced giving offerings, for they didn’t know since there has never been a church in that area.  We are the first people to bring them the Good News of salvation.  We are progressing on well.  Each Sunday there are a number of new believers joining the church.  Our prayer is to get a church building because we are worshipping under a tree.  When rain comes, it becomes a bit challenging.  We are also praying for God to make a way for a school to be opened in the area because there is not a single school.  I am grateful for the support that Harbingers Ministries has been sending us.  It’s very helpful to us.  God bless you!”

Since writing this testimony, God has blessed Missionary Grace with a church building and a home.  We praise him for his provisions.  We also thank God for enabling Missionary Grace to be very effective in reaching the Pokot people with the Gospel.
